Sunday 2nd October: Thorpe – Parwich
9-10 miles – Start at 10am from Narlows Lane car park, Thorpe – Grid ref. SK 164 505 – Picnic lunch & possible drinks stop in Parwich – Walk leader Mary.
Sunday 9th October: Greasley – Moorgreen
Distance 8.5 miles – Start at 10:30am from the lay-by on the B600 outside Greasley Church – Grid ref. SK 490472 – A rural ramble through woodlands and one of the best ridgeway paths in the county, the walk is easy with a few inclines, but may be muddy in wet weather – Picnic lunch – Refreshment at Reubens Coffee House, Moorgreen after the walk – Walk leader Julia.
Sunday 16th October: Heatherdene – Win Hill – Hope – Townfield Lane
Approx 8.5 to 9 miles – Steep climb at the beginning of the walk – Start at 10:30am from Heatherdene car park, by the toilets – Car park charge £5 all day – Heatherdene car park is on the A6013, opposite Ladybower Reservoir, north of Bamford village – Grid ref. SK 202 858 – Picnic lunch – Walk leader Jean R.
Tuesday 18th October : Lambley Dumbles (Footloose Extra)
5.5 undulating miles, going into two Dumbles – Start at 10.30am from the road junction by The Lambley pub in Lambley – Grid ref. SK 627 453 – Park either at the back of the primary school, which is a public car park, or on the road – Picnic lunch – Options of drinks at The Wood Lark or tea/cake at Brookfields Garden Centre after – Walk leader Kath.
Sunday 23rd October : Elton – Middleton – Youlgreave – Limestone Way
Approx 9 miles – Start at 10:15am from outside All Saints Church, 7 Main St, Elton, Matlock, DE4 2BW – Free on-street parking nearby – Picnic lunch – Walk leader Nick.
Wednesday 26th October : AGM and Meal
The Annual General Meeting of Footloose walking club will take place at the Victoria Hotel, Beeston, followed by a meal – Start time 7pm.
Sunday 30th October : Steeple Grange – Middleton – Bonsall – Cromford
8 1/2 miles – Start at 10:00am GMT (clocks go back) from the entrance to the Steeple Grange Light Railway on Old Porter Lane, Steeple Grange near Wirksworth – Grid ref. SK 287 554 – W3W: ///churn.soulful.baguette – Directions: From the A6 at Cromford turn onto the B3036 towards Wirksworth; At the top of the steep hill turn right onto the B5035 towards Middleton; After a few hundred yards take the left turn signposted “Steeple Grange Light Railway”; This is the turning before the Stone Centre; Park anywhere on this short road – Picnic lunch plus coffee shop/pub stop in Bonsall – Walk leader Ashley.
