Walks – February 2026

Prospective new members are welcome on our walks , but we ask that you contact us beforehand and take a look at our frequently asked questions page.

Winter walks may be cancelled due to bad weather – snow, ice, heavy rain, fog etc. In the event of such weather, please look out for updates both here and on Whats App, or contact the walk leader before setting out.

Sunday 1st February: Great Longstone – Rowland – Ashford in the Water – Pennyunk Lane – Monsal Head – Little Longstone

8.1 miles – Start at 10:15am from outside The Crispin pub in Great Longstone – SK 199 719 – DE45 1TZ – ///running.pines.tilts – Park on the road, not the pub car park – Picnic lunch – Walk leader Jim.

Sunday 8th February: Calver – Coombes Dale – Eyam

9 miles – Start at 10am outside Café 19 @ White’s at Calver Crossroads, Calver Sough – Note early start time to catch the daylight – SK 239 748 – S32 3XH – ///foster.undercuts.beyond – Park on Sough Lane near the now closed Derwentwater Arms pub – Café stop in Eyam at lunchtime, but bring a packed lunch as it could be busy – Walk leader Jean R.

Sunday 15th February: Elton – Youlgrave – Limestone Way

8 miles – Start at 10:30am from outside All Saints’ Church, Elton – On street parking – SK 2218 6098 – DE4 2BY – ///backup.procured.ensemble – Picnic lunch – Walk leader Nick.

Tuesday 17th February: Moorgreen – Misk Hill – Greasley (Footloose Extra)

7.5 miles – Start at 10:30am from the free car park at Colliers Wood, Moorgreen – SK 481 480 – NG16 3QU – ///reds.armrests.token – Picnic lunch – Tea shop close to the car park – Walk leader John.
