Winter walks may be cancelled due to bad weather – snow, ice, heavy rain, fog etc. In the event of such weather, please look out for updates both here and on What’s App, or contact the walk leader before setting out.

Sunday 1st March: Hardwick Hall Circular

9 miles – Start at 10:15am from Rowthorne Trail Car Park, Rowthorne Lane, Mansfield – SK 475 647 – S44 5QQ – ///conqueror.opponent.stereos – Picnic lunch – Walk leader Vaughan.

Sunday 8th March: Calton – Throwley Hall – Beeston Tor – Wetton – Manifold Trail – Old Soles Wood

About 9.5 miles and just over 1400 feet ascent/descent, including one fairly sharp ascent after Beeston Tor – Start at 10:15am from outside St Mary’s Memorial Hall in Calton, west of Ashbourne – SK 103 501 – ST10 3JX – ///draw.caring.cringes – Parking is available at the Memorial Hall unless a “Function Today No Parking” board is displayed – Alternatively, park considerately on the road – Lunch either at the Royal Oak pub or tea shop in Wetton – Benches available outside nearby if you prefer your own food – Some excellent views if weather is good – Walk leader Richard.

Sunday 22nd March: Hartington – Carder Low – Pilsbury Hill – High Close Farm

Approximately 7 miles, 1300ft of ascent, via two lesser known Ethels – Start at 10:30am from the pond in the centre of Hartington – SK 128 605 – SK17 0AL – ///grunt.wished.nuptials – Picnic lunch – Walk leader John.
